I first saw Dr Ranasinghe on 9th August 2018 at the West Suffolk Hospital. My husband wheeled me into her surgery as I could not walk due to the swelling and blisters on my feet and legs. I had endured weeks of visits to my GP with the rash getting worse as she had no idea what it was. She finally arranged an appointment with the Dermatology Dept. after I insisted because I was getting more concerned as to the cause. Dr Ranasinghe took one look and knew immediately it was Bullous Pemphigoid a condition caused by my immune system breaking down. I cannot say how relieved my husband and I were that she identified it so quickly. She was so caring and considerate as she explained the whole thing to us and the treatment that was necessary we felt that there finally was someone who cared about me. A month later after a course of steroids and antibiotics I WALKED into Dr Ranasinghe and she was so pleased to see me doing so well it was like meeting an old friend. I am due to go back for a biopsy and then a further visit to see her but I am certain that I will be well cared for. I cannot express my gratitude strongly enough to her and her team.

Dr Ranisinghe is charming, efficient and immediately put me at ease at my first appointment (seen on time). When needing to take a biopsy (at a follow-up appointment at Newmarket Hospital) the care from the nursing staff and Dr Ranisinghe was exemplary, with the appointment absolutely on time, giving no time for me to get over-anxious about the procedure. At my most recent appointment in August, she surprised me by remembering very well our first meeting some 2 months' earlier. I feel fully confident in the treatment I have received from this extremely approachable clinician who was willing to explain the diagnoses and discuss my concerns. I feel very reassured that she will review my skin problems again. It is refreshing to meet such a delightful yet totally professional clinician who agrees with me that even people over 70 deserve the best treatment available! Thank you very much.

Dr Ranasinghe has been excellent. I was referred by my GP, Dr Malini Wace, who had recently heard her lecture on the links between blepharitis and treatment for rosacea. What great teamwork - within a relatively short space of time, and with the treatment Dr Ranasinghe recommended, my blepharitis has cleared. Prior to this I had spent two years suffering with painful dry eyes and constant eyelid flare ups. Dr Ranasinghe is a sensitive practitioner who explores the problem with you in a friendly and chatty manner but is clearly using her expertise to ask the right questions. She is thorough and explores the symptoms holistically. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr Ranasinghe has been my Consultant Dermatologist for a number of years and I have absolute confidence in her. She is always engaging, friendly and professional. I have never felt rushed in any of my consultations. I would also like to give a mention to Anna Bianconi-Moore the Dermatology Nurse Specialist and her team. All are thoroughly professional and have provided me with a first class service. My recent Daylight PDT treatment has been a revelation!
